This is the story of a bitter, unappreciated, but hard-working clown and a band of aliens just trying to get ahead in the world. Unfortunately, the head they're after is Sockets' own!
Bring Me the Head of Sockets the Clown serves as a sequel of sorts to Sockets The World's Angriest Clown Meets the Boy Who Would Not Smile. It was a refinement of the same production process: animated by hand by Derek Vowles, colored in Photoshop, assembled in Macromedia Director, and filmed frame by frame off a monitor with a Bolex 16mm camera.
The original theme and soundtrack was composed and performed by Greg Rutledge. A few years later, the awesomely talented Doug Traeger appeared on the scene, arranging a new musical composition and engineering spectacular fx and voice soundtracks. |
